Τι είναι το Πλεονέκτημα Έδρας;

Οι ομάδες που βρίσκονται σε μεγάλες χώρες, όπως η Ρωσία ή η Αμερική, ταξιδεύουν μια μέρα πριν και μετά τον αγώνα. Αυτό μπορεί να επηρεάσει τους παίκτες, ενώ η γηπεδούχος έχει ένα σύντομο ταξίδι καθώς και αδιάκοπη προετοιμασία για τον αγώνα. Ειδικότερα ομάδες σε πρωταθλήματα χαμηλότερης χρηματοδότησης, όπως αυτά της Γκάνας, της Λιθουανίας ή της Ταϊλάνδης δεν έχουν το προνόμιο των ιδιωτικών τζετ για να ταξιδέψουν στους προορισμούς των αγώνων τους.
